Local Independent businesses continue to be the lifeblood of the local economy and community and are winning awards aswell! We’re proud to support local businesses, here’s some of their achievements.

Alison Holland , founder of Brightkidz, has been recognised for her work promoting walking to school and road safety for children. She recieved an award at the 2018 National Sustainable Travel Awards

A Kettering town centre beauty clinic has been crowned the winner of this year’s Northamptonshire Telegraph Salon of the Year competition. Sasha Core Beauty & Skin Clinic in Market Street saw off competition from almost 100 other salons to claim the award.Manager and owner Sasha Core had previously offered her treatments out of a hair salon but she outgrew it and decided to open her own salon just six months ago.

Audreys Bespoke Caterers, specialising in bespoke afternoon teas, canapes, wedding and event catering, picked up Start Up Business of the year award at Kettering Business Awards 2018 (sponsored by Enterprise Kettering!)

Some of the best managed pub, bars and clubs in the county including Kettering’s Pop Central have been recognized at a ceremony to announce the Best Bar None 2018 winners, held at Aspers casino in Northampton. Licensed premises from across the county received accreditations to the Best Bar None (BBN) scheme, which were presented by Police and Crime Commissioner Steven Mold and Emilia Bland from Carlsberg UK, who between them sponsored the awards this year.
